Summary:
In conjunction with the Tulane City Center, the city opened New Orleans’ first public skate park: Parasite. The 18,000 square-foot park space turned what was formerly a dead zone underneath the 610 overpass into a thriving activity zone for young and old skaters alike. It includes cast-in-place concrete ramps, wood ramps and rails designed specifically to accommodate skateboards, roller skates, rollerblades, inline skates, BMX bikes and non-motorized scooters
